How to set up QoS on MERCUSYS Router

This article mainly introduces what is the QoS feature of MERCUSYS router and how to set it up via MERCUSYS APP or web management page.

The QoS (Quality of Service) feature allows you to prioritize the internet traffic of specific devices to guarantee a faster connection when you need it the most. The router has preset an appropriate bandwidth allocation policy, so you don't need to set different priorities for all devices. Simply set the desired device to High Priority and set how long you want it to remain the high priority, and then the device will be allocated more bandwidth when the network is overloaded.

How do you configure QoS on the MERCUSYS Wi-Fi router?

Here, take MR90X as an example. The actual interface may vary slightly from the product model. For more details, please refer to the User Guide of your router.

Via Web Management:

1. Verify the hardware connection and make sure your router is connected to the Internet.

2. Visit http://mwlogin.net and log in with your MERCUSYS ID or the password you set for the router. If you don’t know how to do that, please refer to

3. Go to Advanced > QoS.

4. Enable QoS.

5. Enter the upload and download bandwidth provided by your internet service provider. Click Save.

Set upload and download bandwidth to 2500Mbps in QoS Settings.

Note: QoS will take effect only when the total network traffic rate is greater than the bandwidth you have set here.

6. Under Device Priority, find your computer and toggle on Priority. Click the entry in the Timing column and select 2 hours as the duration for which you want the device to be prioritized.

Add a device and select 2 hours as the duration in Device Priority page.

Done! Now, the traffic of this computer will be prioritized to guarantee a faster connection for the next 2 hours when the network is overloaded.

Via MERCUSYS App:

1. Connect to your MERCUSYS Wi-Fi Router.

2. Launch the MERCUSYS App and select your router from the Device list.

3. Go to More on the bottom and toggle on QoS.

Display QoS position in the app.

4. Enable QoS and enter the upload and download bandwidth provided by your internet service provider. Click the "+" icon to add your devices.

Set upload and download bandwidth to 2500Mbps in QoS page.

Done! Now, QoS is implemented to prioritize internet traffic.
