How to Setup the Satellite Halo to be the Main Halo

This Article Applies to:

This article shows the instructions for setting up the satellite Halo to be the main Halo via the MERCUSYS app.

For some reason, if you want to change the Satellite Halo to work as the Main Halo but do not want to reset the whole Halo network and reconfigure it, you can refer to the following instructions to finish the setup process.

Note: Features available in Halo may vary by model and software version. All steps and images described here are only examples and may not reflect your actual Halo experience.

Before you start

Please connect your phone to the Halo's Wi-Fi network. Otherwise, you can’t see the “Set Main Halo” option.

1. Open the MERCUSYS app. Tap the Network module on the homepage.

Locate the Network Map position in the middle of the page.

2. Tap the three dots icon and select Set Main Halo.

Locate the settings icon in the top right corner of the page. Display the Set Main Halo position in the app.

3. Select the Satellite Halo that you want to use as a Main Halo, then follow app instructions to finish the setting.

All information in Set Main Halo page.

4. If your Halo doesn’t support this feature, you will see a reminder about it in the MERCUSYS APP, as shown below:

Display one Halo H50G position in the app.

Troubleshooting tips:

1. If your phone is connected to the Halo’s Wi-Fi name but still can’t see the Set Main Halo option, please force your MERCUSYS app to close first. Then open the app and go to More Wi-Fi, double confirm your phone is connected to Halo’s network, and then open the Halo app again to have a try.

2. If the new main Halo cannot get an Internet connection after changing the main Halo, it is possible that the MAC address of the old main Halo is recorded on your modem. Please power off the modem completely for 5 minutes and then start it up again.
