How to unbind the MERCUSYS account (MERCUSYS ID)
This article mainly shows the instructions to unbind the MERCUSYS ID via web-based interface or MERCUSYS APP.
If you need to unbind your MERCUSYS account from your MERCUSYS Wi-Fi router or Halo Mesh System, you can use the steps below. After unbinding, you can re-register the Wi-Fi Router or Halo to another account (MERCUSYS ID).
Method 1: Unbinding via a web-based interface
1. Log in to the web-based interface of the router by referring to How to log into the web-based interface of the MERCUSYS Wireless N Router?
2. Navigate to Advanced > MERCUSYS ID and look for the Bound Accounts section.
3. Check the box(es) of the MERCUSYS ID(s) you want to remove and click Unbind.
Method 2: Unbinding via the MERCUSYS APP
1. Log in to the MERCUSYS App on your smartphone.
2. Navigate to More > Managers.
3. Click the account you want, then tap Unbind.
Method 3: Unbinding via Factory Reset
Unbinding can also be achieved by resetting the router to its factory default settings: Directly press and hold the reset button on the rear panel with a pin for approximately 10 seconds when the device is running.
For Halo Mesh Systems
To unbind your Halo Mesh System from your MERCUSYS Account/ID, factory reset the Halo node(s) by referring to How can I reset or reboot my Halo Whole-Home Wi-Fi System? The account will now be unbound.
