How to change DNS server settings on my Halo

In a certain network environment, users may need to configure a particular DNS address for his/her network. This article aims to guide you in changing the DNS server settings on your Halo system.

Before configuration:

1. Have the latest Mercusys app installed on your mobile phone.

2. Make sure the mobile phone is connected to Halo's Wi-Fi network.

3. Close the Mercusys App if it is already running in the background. Re-launch the Mercusys App to clear the app cache.

Note: You can change the DNS settings through the Mercusys app only when your mobile phone connects to Mercusys's Wi-Fi network and when you log in to the Mercusys app with the owner account.

 

Change the DNS server settings under WAN

1. Tap More on the Mercusys app, then click on Advanced > tap IPv4.

2. TaInternet connection type, disable Obtain DNS Automatically, type in your preferred DNS server settings, then click on Save.

Display the IPV4 settings, ignore ping from WAN button, internet connection type, Ip address, subnet mask, default gateway, primary DNS, and secondary DNS.

Display the WAN settings, with the internet connection type option, obtain DNS automatically button, primary DNS, and secondary DNS.

3. And the new DNS settings will take effect automatically.

Display the IPv4 settings, ignore ping from WAN botton, internet connection type, Ip address, subnet mask, default gateway, primary DNS and secondary DNS.

 

 

Change the DNS server settings under LAN.

Go to Mercusys APP > More > AdvancedDHCP Server page to set the DNS server manually, and click on Save to save the settings.

Display the DHCP server setting, start IP, end IP, default gateway, primary DNS, secondary DNS and the save button on the top right.
