Unboxing and Appearance

Before we crack it open, let’s take a look at the packaging. The box is still in MERCUSYS typical red. The front side shows the products, the seamless coverage, and its four major features. With the Halo H50G Mesh WiFi system, you can run a single home network with one WiFi name and password, and can always connect to the best signal band in a 6000 ft² (500 m²) house.

 

 

On the backside, an application scenario illustrates the whole-home WiFi solution. MERCUSYS Mesh technology provides an incredibly fast and stable user experience when you walk around your home.

 

The right side and left side introduce other features and give detailed specifications. Every unit of the Halo WiFi System offers fast dual-band WiFi, delivering combined speeds of up to 1.9 Gbps.

 

 

• Unboxing

Opening the box, three Halo H50G units are lined up in a row, each packed in a plastic bag to protect its body. Three power adapters, Ethernet cables, and manuals are beneath the products at the bottom.

 

• Appearance

Each Halo H50G is a white cube with a dark blue base. Every unit is relatively small and soft on the eyes—making it not only a network device but also a part of your home decor. A small LED light is located on one side. It is small enough to show you the status of the network without being obtrusive. On the other side of the LED, you can find three Ethernet ports. All three ports are gigabit ports and WAN/LAN auto-sensing, meaning you don’t need to distinguish between LAN and WAN ports, reducing your time and effort. With Gigabit ports 10x faster than Ethernet ports, you can make full use of your ISP internet access and transfer data to wired devices at dizzying speeds for peak performance.
